Our Mission
We all feel lonely sometimes. No one should feel lonely, detached, or depressed all of the time. Least of all the elderly.
Senior Check In is an organization founded and run by high school students who want to do their part to help eliminate chronic loneliness in the elderly.
We do this by pairing seniors with dedicated phone ‘buddies.' Each week, these buddies reach out via phone to offer companionship and support. In return for their time and care, student volunteers earn volunteer hours and enrich their own lives as they comfort others.

Donate
Senior Check In is a non-for-profit organization and relies on donations. Please contact us to make a donation.
Volunteer
Sign up as a volunteer to be a 'buddy' to lonely seniors enrolled in the program and make a difference in their lives. If you are a student, you will earn volunteer hours.
Enroll your facility or family member
If you work at nursing home or senior center with lonely patients/members, enroll your organization into the program. Shortly thereafter, any senior who is interested and passes a short screen will be matched a volunteer who will call them 1-2/week to check in on them.
